your favorite head/cam/intake setup on a shortblock 302ci??

don't waste your money on a custom cam you don't really need. keep in mind, its a street car not a race car where every single horsepower matters. with all the off the shelf cams available you can't tell me there isn't something available that will work well. i personally like the total top end...

    Cam shaft help!

thats cool, i hear ya. but i reality the modular valve train is very stout. its not like the old pushrod days were stock springs float at 6000. everyone should pick up the book how to build max performance 4.6 liter engines and read the valvetrain section. the whole book has a ton of great info!

    Cam shaft help!

i did cams, valve seals, timing chain guides and timing gears and a new (mail order) tune. the car would hardly run with the new cams and old tune so you def need at least a mail order tune to get you started. you don't really need to do heads at the same time to see good gains, althought it...

    Cam shaft help!

cool man, some people get so torqued over being corrected. pretty much what i've found is that if you need to change the springs for the cams then the cams rpm range is too high for the stock bottom end anyhow. i mean, it will live, for a while, but eventually all the rpm will hurt it

    Cam shaft help!

not to sound like an ass, but not true. the modular ford stock rockers are a very sturdy design and are good to over 7500 rpm and the stock 2v springs are plenty for 6500 which is just fine because the stock 2v bottom end isn't good for much past that either

    My new Motive 3.73s whine

my frpp 4.10's have whined since new just the same way yours do, i had it done professionally and i've messed with them myself to no avail. i've put 15k on them and the sound never changes. so maybe you should get louder mufflers to drowned it out! jk, but good luck getting the shop to look at...
