Happy New Year Gents!

I have a 1992 GT. I was told the car has a Sniper Chip. Where do i look to verify that? Under the dash some where? I want to get a new Chip / Tuner system along with bigger injectors/MAF this spring. I know my car has alot more potential under the hood with all my goodies. I was told that my 24lb injectors and MAF is "pegging out". I think i may need bigger injectors to get my full potential out of this set up. I hear Tweecer is a good system for tuning 5.0's? Does anyone have any suggestions for me to get started? Thax for all in-put!

It installs into the J3 port on the ECU, the computer is in the passenger kick panel. Who told you stuff was "pegging out"? What is the setup like Cheby_Guy said.

Yes we need to know what is done to the car. If it's a good h/c/i then 24# injectors are about all that you need. I believe that if there is some kind of chip, it would be plugged into the eec. Is the MAF calibrated for the 24s? Some of them that are calibrated for the 24s still might need to be tuned so it works properly. If you are looking for a tuner you should also look at the Moates Quarterhorse.

Car was supposively built and tuned by Mustang Magic. Stock blocc, TRW powerseal pistons and rings, Frod racing rods, balanced crank, e303 cam, edelbrock performer heads (190 &160) i believe. C&L 73mm calibrated for 24lb, 24lb Bosch injectors, Edlebrobk intake and 70mmTB. Anderson Powre pipe with not blow off. BBK long tubes with no cat and 3" Bassani exhaust. MSD Pro billet dist (not pictured) MSC 6AL with 6000 chip, MSD coil,Vortech regulator, 255 Walboro pump in tank, sniper chip, Vortech V1 S Trim(noisy) supercharger with a 3.33 pulley (boost gauge only reads 4 or 5) I think it should be more.. Stock T5,Centerforce Dual friction clutch, Motosports billet Flywheel, aluminum drive shaft, richmond 373 gears, ALLoy axles, SSBC rear disc conversion (4lug) and croosed rotors in the front. Car's claimed dyno @ Mustang Magic is 423hp and 490tq. CAn these heads take larger injectors? This is my new hobbie because i keep breaking body parts racing dirt bikes so all help is appreciated! Thanx!

heads have no bearing on the injectors...heads flow air...fuel doesnt make it thru

s-trim and 24lb injectors? might wana upgrade that a lil buddy
but ur makling 4-5lbs so you might be ok for now

I thought that a 3.33 pulley would make more boost? I thought with the stock pulley it would have 4-5psi? No? I was told that the V1 STrim was a good charger? Will i get more horses from larger injectors? Is so how big can i go?

injectors give u fuel...that can be tuned into more power SAFELY

a 3.33 pulley is the "stock wortech pulley" i believe

as u go smaller with those blower pullies you will get more boost, make more power, and get a little leaner...i have some i can sell you if u need, PM me

s-trim is my favorite street blower, i have had 4 of them and have one on my current car

i would suggest 39 or 42lb iunjectors and the appropirate MAF...im shocked u made 420rw on 24lb injectors
technically u make more power leaning it out (dont get involved with that, thats a joke for those b+ and above mechanics out there)

I assume you must have an FMU on it, my friend did this with his 94 GT but you are really pushing the 24lbers and adding extra strain on the fuel pump. What I don't get is why it was tuned and 24lbers were left in the car? Like Bone said, you should have 42lbers in there. It is possible to make 400+ rwhp with the 24lbers my friend ran 11.2@124 with his 94 GT with them but he also ended up breaking the ring lands in one of his pistons.

The 3.33" pulley is the stock one for the S-Trim and is rated at 8-9lbs on a STOCK 5.0 motor. But with the Powerpipe you should get 2 more lbs. So with the heads/cam/intake you should be around 8 I'd guess.

Are you running a bypass or no? Those dyno #'s seem strange to me do you have the sheet?

I do not have the dyno sheet. This is what the guy told me when i bought the car. This is my first Mustang so i dont know what it takes to get big #'s with this set up. I figured with all these goodies it was pushin 400rwhp. I do not have a bypass vlave. Im not really sure what you mean by that. Blow off valve? And FMU? LOL Is that factory mass air unit? The car has a C&L 73mm cal for 24lb. When i first bought the car 2 years ago i looked up the Vortech V1 and it said the stock pulley was bigger the the 3.33? If this is the case i will look for a smaller pulley for the unit and i will also get 42lb injectors and new mass air unit to match. Do you guys think this is what this car needs to keep up with yall? LOL

A FMU is a fuel management unit. And I believe a bypass valve vents the pressure when you let off the throttle like the blow off valve does. I'm not sure how much you paid for the car, but if he said he had it dyno'd and what not, I would definitely want to see some papers of it...

3.33 is definitely the stock S-Trim pulley. Are you 100% sure it is an S-Trim? It could be a Sc-Trim which is the smaller version with the 6 rib pulleys. Just curious. Get some pics up.

The FMU raised the fuel pressure based on boost. 19lbers use a 12:1 ratio (12psi of fuel pressure raise per lb boost) usually is a 8:1 disk for 24lbers.

You really should have a bypass, and why they did not install one is beyond me. It keeps you from having compressor surge. Like said above it is kind of like a blow off valve. Here is the typical Bosch style which is good for up to 13lbs of boost normally. I have an extra one I'd sell if you want it.

If you have the plastic discharge pipe like this I'm guessing it is really a Sc-Trim or depending how old the supercharger is maybe even an A-Trim.

The pics i have are too big to post. I did upload photos when i first joined the site. There is 2 pics of the engine bay in my Toyz folder. I checked on the sheet when i bought the car and it says S-Trim. It is noisy for sure. Does the bypass valve go on the Andersen power pipe? I have the same exact Vortech regulator that you have pictured. On the blower it has Model# V1, Serial#38153,CARBEO#D-213-17. Im pretty sure all the stuff in the car is a few years old. I will definately get a bypass valve if it would help me out.

Yep, it is more than likely an Sc-Trim because it has the plastic discharge and 6 rib pulleys. Call Vortech tech line with the serial # and they can tell you. That would explain the boost # you are seeing. This is what you should get....

8 rib pulley upgrade, you can pick whatever size sc pulley you want. I'd probably get a 3.12 or 2.95 pulley.

then the discharge, you can tap the plastic one but the aluminum one is alot better

Is the timing correct on your car? It looks the like the distributor is in the wrong place here due to where the tfi module is..

There should be more pics in there. Im not sure what happened. Any way here is a pic i took from facebook.I have more pics there (Genius Paquette). Im pretty sure who ever built the car didnt have the knowledge that you have on 5.0's. Probably why there is a plastic discharge tube and stuff. I wan to get suggestions in what to upgrade to get big #'s out of the car. Im getting my bonus soon and i want to get some goodies to make my 92 rip. The oil line looks like a thick brake line to me. It is metal. Thanx again for the help.
