I know Joe (from Mustang Magic) had a set on Snakebite so you can make them fit. What did he do to make them fit? that I do not know, but you can call him and ask.

Since you say that the timing keeps moving around, I would start by checking the distributor gear. Pull the distributor and see if the gear still has its teeth intact (distributor drives the oil pump) though I have to tell you that having oil in the exhaust is not a good sign, do a compression...

just remember that you cannot mix radials with bias. It is not safe!

or you can always get BFGoodrich G-force t/a drag radials in 18" (315-30)

what size rotors are you running in the rear? I had 13" rotors, but went back to stock setup so that I was able to fit 16" wheels back there for a little more sidewall/ better choice of tires You might not want to do that, but it is an option

The only drag wheels THAT I KNOW OF that will clear big brakes is the newer version of the CCW's drag pack. I have seen them on newer Shelbys with the 14" rotors and brembo calipers and they told me that they would clear my Alcon calipers with 14" rotors when I spoke to them a little while back...

Being a Turbo lover, this is disappointing news to me, but I completely understand them. The engine leaves room for not much else but a centrifugal or roots supercharger. Turbos require a lot more room than either of those 2. I am sure the aftermarket will find a way to turbo those engines...
