    Ford Bronco Frame Off Restoration

Yes 10:1 is very safe on pump gas. The last 3 street engines I built are all around 10.5:1 and run on 93 octane. One is a 306, and 2 are 410's.

    Ford Bronco Frame Off Restoration

Matt at Pro-Formance is exactly right. Towing with a turbo is fine if you have a diesel. It has severe duty everything and enough head bolt load to keep a roof on a house. I feel a gas turbo engine for towing would be a maintenance nightmare. Fuel injection is going to give you the most...

    replacing ac compressor 95 GT

When a shop fixes your ac they drain the system and measure how much comes out. Just say your system holds 2 pounds and they pull out 1 1/2 pounds. When they recharge the system they fill it with the 2 lbs, but only charge you for a 1/2 lb. because you already had 1 1/2 lbs in it. At least that...

    replacing ac compressor 95 GT

Yeah but I dont recommend it. A shop will vaccum the system to pull out the R134A and you "should" get a credit for what they remove. Replace the components that need it and I recommend a new receiver/dryer as well. Once it's all back in place have the shop charge the sytem, add the correct...

    More Power

The exhaust is only as good as the weakest leak. High flow exhaust is pointless if you have the stock restrictive manifolds.

    Parking brake light

Absolutely!! Brake pads are inexpensive and easy to replace. If they get too low they will damage the rotor and possibly the caliper. Replacing them will be 3 to 5 times more expensive than just pads!

    wiring headache

I specialize in custom wiring but am on the other side of the state. My labor rate is a lot lower than in NYC so it may be worth the trip. Many on here can vouch for my work and attention to detail.

    Dominator running stronger,still needs tune.

Dominators are tough because they tend to run rich around the mid range and go lean at high rpm. I will be using the prosystems SV-1 carb on my new nitrous engine.

    302 vs 306

I'm with ya. The kit looks fine for a stock rebuild but don't order until you have the crank checked. You may need oversized bearings.

    Sure no problem!

    302 vs 306

I would recommend that the machine shop install the cam bearings unless you have done them before and have the tool to do them. Yes that should include a hot tank and mag. Talk to your machinist, you may not need a line hone as long as everything measures out fine.

    302 vs 306

A stroker is a good think, don't get me wrong. If you have the money I would build a 331. However, I would at least take the small step to a .030 or .040 overbore. It will only help and you said you good pricing at the machine shop. You should be able to get the whole block prepped and ready for...

    302 vs 306

OK I want to give my opinion. If you are building an enigine you will at least have the cylinders honed with torque plates. Even if they dont need bored the piston to wall clearance will be greater than was recommended from the factory. The cyinders will most likely be slightly out of round...
