    foxbody chip tune questions

Here are 2 pdf's that I used to tune out the idle issues I had which were the same symptoms than what you have. One is a tweecer forum post which describes the procedure on how to tune it. The other is an article someone put together installing a bigger throttle body and then tuning it. The...

    foxbody chip tune questions

remember that the combination you have is far different stock in terms of airflow, different throttle body, intake, displacement, etc. (at idle or anywhere else). You have to tell the computer what the airflow is at idle so it can manage it better. There is one scalar and one function that...

    2010 plans

if you're looking for quarter mile performance (or 0-60) gears will be the best bang for the buck. won't do much in terms of RWHP but will make the car accelerate like it had 25% more torque if you're going from 3.27's to 4.10's. underdrive pulleys on the 5.0L also used to be pretty effective...

yes, the gas turbine shaft is connected to a generator and puts power to the grid.

    Roll Call....Post them UP!!!

gas turbine yes but in a power producing application (instead of thrust application). the one in the pic is rated at 260MW (or ~350000 HP) and is definitely way to big to put on the wing of any airplane.

if I had your kind of money Dan, I'd do it for sure!

    hi rev 302's

4.10's . I need the gearing to make up for the low 2.66 1st gear ratio of the viper spec t56 in order to get off the line. the final first gear ratio is equivalent to a stock t5 with 3.27 gears . . . ouch! and the motor certainly does not make the off idle torque of an 03 cobra o a v10...

    hi rev 302's

Thanks everyone. So far I've filled out the Comp Cams recommendation and got a suggestion for a cam that is a solid roller cam . . .even though I stated I wanted to stay with a hydraulic roller, maybe they started their partying early and drank too much egg nogg? Anderson Ford Motorsports...

    hi rev 302's

ok, you lost me. i was asking about hydraulic lifter setups (further to that roller). are you saying your ranger with the stock roller/hydraulic set is revving to 6800rpm?

    hi rev 302's

what cam and valve springs did you have? like i said, i've never pulled much past 6K but everyone talks about valve float . . .is it just big hooplah?

    hi rev 302's

Ok, who's running 6500-7000 RPM redlines on 302's with the stock hydraulic lifters and how are you doing it (cam, pushrods, valve springs, other)? My current combo (TFS stage1 cam, AFR185's box stock valve springs) wants to keep making power past 6000RPM but not sure if it'll go to 6500 without...

    kenne bell or vortech v3

check out BG custom turbo kits, they are less than $3K and are a good compromise between the available boost from a v3 and a kb. . . plus they'll make at least 40HP more than a supercharger kit at the same boost level. -chris

    Mass Air Meters

I have an old Pro-M 80mm meter (the plastic one) calibrated to 36lbs. During the last dyno session I had, the meter clipped at 1076kg/hr at 4500RPM and beyond. So for sure the 36lbs injectors are not ideal but I am making up for it with the FMU that is boosting the fuel pressure and some WOT...

    Mass Air Meters

Finally starting to look around for Mass air meters, I have to upgrade my current one which is calibrated for 36# injectors Pro M and therefore am maxing it out at only 4500RPM. I was thinking the cheap route would be just to send it back and get it recalibrated but was curious if anyone has any...
