    kenne bell or vortech help

one issue with the kb on a windsor engine is you can't run an intercooler/aftercooler. and if you're looking to build reliable consistent forced induction power, you should plan on that. but the potential low end bottom torque potential on these kb are hard to beat. the vortech kit is a...

    kenne bell or vortech v3

depends on what your combo is or will be. the V3's/centrifigul superchargers will always make more HP but the kb/positive displacement superchargers will always make more bottom end torque, especially in the 3000rpm and below (of course given the same max boost levels). so if you're running a...

    S-Trim numbers

Ok, so if I understand correctly, on cars with autos, what you're really graphing there is the torque measured vs. the engine RPM, where the RPM is calculated using the wheelspeed, wheel size, rear gears, etc. which may not necessarily coincide with the actual RPM of the engine, especially in...

    Winter mods vortech/kmember questions

that is my main issue, i can't give up the ability to corner well. how about torque arm setups vs. stock 4 link, any significant difference in straight line traction?

    S-Trim numbers

interesting, shame on the other shop, these are very basic things. i hope they did not charge for that service. i don't have any experience with the newer cars, but the fox body computers seem relatively easy to tune (i'm using a tweecer with datalogging feature combined with a permanatly...

    S-Trim numbers

100HP gain with a tune? You need to really screw something up to miss out on 100HP. Did they tune in 0 deg of timing and an a/f ratio of 8:1? what's the deal? nice numbers by the way -chris p.s. no seriously, what's the deal?

    Winter mods vortech/kmember questions

Not much out of the ordinary, 2X1inch core aluminum radiator from Ron Davis, Edelbrock water pump, slimline electric fan from SPAL. By the way, as an alternative, check out the turbo kits from BG customer turbo. If I could do it all over again, I would have done turbo instead of a...

    Winter mods vortech/kmember questions

don't waste your time with the low boost kit, you'll regret it later. get the full boost kit and limit the top end power to your goal by pulling timing out. you'll get more/better mid to low end torque this way as well. just my 2 cents.

    Boost 101

thanks it was my pleasure. i live for this kind of stuff . . . . . as you might have already guessed. by the way, as a counterpoint to the turbo advantage, i just saw a dyno post from an 03ish cobra putting over 400 ftlbs of torque in the 1500rpm range. . . talk about LOW end...

    Boost 101

Definitely an interesting topic/read. Thanks for putting this together. Allow me to interject some clarifications and comments. I apologize in advance for any typos, etc., I got sucked into this and its now way too late. The real result of more power is due to the density of the air...
