600hp is doable and will be fine, 600rwhp is pushing it. There are plenty off guys w/ 500-550rw that are running strong and long.....there are exceptions of course that aren't so lucky, but then again some motors have shit the bed w/ 400rw too.

He's only got $5k to spend, and to get the #s he's looking for he's not gonna be able to do it with a dart, boss or r block. As for the oil burning issues, the rod to piston ratio could be an issue in the 347s, but if the shortblock is built correctly it's not an issue. The only time a 347...

I sold them shortly after listing them. I got rid of them and upgraded to the street kit cause that's what I always intended to have - most of my driving is on the street and I got f'd by a shop who I thought intalled the street kit originally.

The only way I was able to get my 600 into 3rd was by gently palming it in......which worked but was fukn annoying after you pay $2k for a "racing" trans that you should be able to bang gears on. :smash:
