    Intelligent A9L?

Thanks for the offer of help but I live in SI. I am going to record the temp when the problem starts. I have Autometer guages so it will be easy to get an accurate reading. I am starting to think maybe I should just change all of the sensors. I have had this car for many years (18 to be exact)...

    Intelligent A9L?

I have another computer to test with and I havent changed the o2 sensors in quite awhile. Now I have 2 more theories to try. The o2 sensors are a good thought though, the problem doesnt occur if I just let the car sit and idle. I have to drive it a little for the problem to arise.

The injectors and MAF both match. I do not have the stock fan. I have a Ramchargers dual electric. My air filter and maf are in the drivers side fender on the end of a Andersons Power Pipe. The problem only seems to be at idle. When Im driving the problem goes away. This is really starting to...

    Intelligent A9L?

I never used 42s. I had 36s which worked well for a long time. After I rebuilt my motor (bore, stroke, etc), I couldnt rev past 3k rpm without breaking spark plugs. I went with a new mass air meter (Pro-M) and got a great deal on the 55s. I couldnt turn down a flow matched set for $200. Now that I...

    Intelligent A9L?

I converted the car to mass air about 13 years ago using Ford parts (wire harness, plugs etc). The map sensor has been disconnected and plugged. I have disconnected the iac with no change. The mass air sensor seems okay but I noticed the car ignores it for the first 10 minutes or so. I can unplug...

I was thinking vacuum leak myself. But my vacuum at idle is 10in at cold start and rises to 12in when the car warms up. Those #s have been the same for many years now. The car is supercharged. I have a old Vortech s-trim at 10psi. I had the blower rebuilt last year after the front bearing wore...

    Intelligent A9L?

A9L is mass air. There are others but I am not sure how many. As for speed density I dont remember the codes off-hand. There are different computers for auto and stick. The auto used to be better because it has more aggressive timing curves. It was an old tuning trick from the late 80s to the...

    Intelligent A9L?

I am sorry, I am a little tired. I should have wrote that post better. I meant when the car is cold, not the air. Air temps seem to have no effect.

    Intelligent A9L?

I had a chip burned for my car during a dyno session. I have 55lb injectors that didnt get along too well with the stock computer. Before the chip was done the car would drive fine while it was cold. As soon as it warmed up the car would start hunting at idle and no matter what I did she would...

    Hello all

I am new to the site and wanted to say hi. I have a 88LX that I have owned since Feb of 91. It has been through a lot and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I hope to learn here and be able to help as well.
