Sounds like we may have been to the same tuner. lol I had an similar experience with a tuner in CT (who will remain nameless to keep this thread out of the mud) who would not tune w/ meth. Even without the meth he was ultra-conservative. Even though I was paying him he wouldn't budge - my avg...

Its because they don't wanna stick their neck out by leaning it out with the meth cause if it doesn't spray richening up the mixture your motor could go pop. They're being conservative and safe

In a nutshell methanol injection won't increase power by itself. It cools down IATs and richens the a/f mixture, it's like running race fuel. It allows you to increase timing and adjust your a/f ratio which in turn produces more power.
