Agreed. Could be a dirty IAT....could be a bloackoff plate wasn't used when deleting the EGR.....could be vac leak somewhere. Was it doing this prior to the EGR delete?

How long have you had the car - has it always done this? Is the car modified....heads? cam? intake? blower?turbo? etc If it just started and never happened before, have you done any work to it recently?

Again, now that we know you're FI, like Wayne asked....what is your setup? When is it surging - rpm? at start up only? More info needed.

Wasn't there a head issue on the '03 that they fixed for the '04? And I think they changed something with regards to the exhaust system too.
