    1966 Sprint

That's one correct answer. The other answer was Due to such a demand for v8 engines in the Mustang Ford ran into a shortage of 289's so they needed to come up with a way to help move some six cylinders. Instead of losing potential sales of Mustangs because people didn't want to wait for a v8...

    1966 Sprint

Hi, If your car has the standard blue interior then you have the correct steering wheel for your car.Sprints could have been had with the standard or deluxe (pony ) interior. The deluxe interior would have included the woodgrain steering wheel. The main things on the sprints that made them...

    Window rollers???

Hey paul, You are correct they only go in from the ends. So since yours are popping out of the middle of the track they are too small or the track is bent, etc.

    Window rollers???

Hey Paul, when you say your roller comes right out? Do you mean that it pops out of the track or that it slides out of either end?

    carburetor?????

Hey Paul, For what it's worth 64-67 seats all used the same frames. The upholstery varied depending on year and interior(standard vs deluxe)as well as the foam. 64-67 seats will bolt into your car but the frames and pieces between 67 and 68 do not interchange. For what it's worth how's...

Open or closed oil breather cap

Hey Paul, The idea of that hose was to catch any engine blowby for emissions. So you have 3 options. 1) You can hook up the hose to your new air cleaner. 2) You can buy a new cap without the hose attachment. Or 3) You can use your current cap with the hose removed. Anyone of the above...

    Nismo-stang!!

Call me old fashioned, I believe Fords should be powered by Ford, Chevy powered by Chevy, etc. All of that aside . I've been building and restoring rotted cars for years. I just want to point something out. Since people say I have a tough time relating to today's youth I'll use the immortal words...

    so wrong

Huh, So back in the day Ford competition cars all ran some form of Small block chevy in them? I think Jerry Titus just rolled over in his grave and Carroll Shelby fell out of his chair.LOL. Regardless,I feel Ford cars should run Ford Mills. same with chevy, mopar, etc. That's just one guys opinion.

    1968 mustang rear brakes

Right, the rusted lip as you call it goes past the shoe to help the drum sit close to the backing plate and sort of seal it. I was thinking that the original poster had an unused portion of braking surface on the drum because of the shoes being narrower, which I guess is not the case then.

    1968 mustang rear brakes

When your current drums are installed flush against the axle hub does the open side of the drum sit close to flush(obviously not touching) with the backing plate? If yes and you go with a narrower drum you could have a decent 1/4" or so opening back there which will let dirt and such in. I'm...

    ny inspection and exhaust

Hi, Do you have an inspection shop that you use currently? I ask because I'm sure you could ask them specifically what is legal and what isn't . Also some shops,Like one I use(I'm not naming names.lol) Don't go over the older stuff with a fine toothed comb, meaning I could just about get a car...
