x2 for ARH. I have American Racing Headers (with high flow catted x-pipe) on my 06. Fitment and sound is great.

Agreed on this, aamco isn't the most trustable source. For one definitely make sure the e-brake isn't frozen or stuck on. Lift the e-brake handle and see if you have a lot of slack in it. If you do then your e-brake is stuck. This was a problem with 05 (maybe 06 too) S197's. As for the RPM...

I personally would forget the A-arms. Not a good idea especially if you drive it on the street, and frankly I don't see it as a necessity. Check this link out

I see you don't have an S197 so I think you need to realize what goes for your car doesn't go for ours. With that being said X-pipe + LM's sound horrible, there is very minor differences in power for H vs. X. If your that worried about power get rid of the cats. As for flow rate, the mufflers...

SCT Xcal3. Get a real intake with a real tuner, get some tunes for it and you will see a HUGE difference. Many reputable tuners will offer packages that include the tuner, intake and tunes preloaded onto the tuner.

Exactly what he said. As for X or H, I prefer X alot more, and I would drop the loudmouths idea, they're overally loud and will sound raspy. I had the flowmasters which I didnt like at all, too quiet. Right now I'm running ARH Longtubes with ARH catted x-pipe with stingers and I like it ALOT.
