this happened in my 97 after i braked real hard and bent a pad. it would turn off if i pulled the ebrake up a tiny bit. but definitely get your brakes checked out. you dont want your brakes to brake or break at the wrong time.

youre gonna get better sound with the X-pipe. but i usually doesnt compare to the off road (catless) X

IMO the long tubes are too much hassle for the extra 3-4 HP they produce on a N/A car. If you had Forced Induction they would definitely be worth it. Go with the shortys and an x pipe with high flow cats. then you have no worrys about a pipe sniffer and you will have a much better sounding exhaust.
