Not to ijack your thread man, but if you happen to come across a parts car, I need to hack out a 1/4. Good luck with your search, a repro company needs to start making a set that aren't $550 or something else ridiculous!
306 is just going .30 over on a rebuild, but with a basic, mild cam and I'm going to assume iron heads, 600-650 would be better suited. Tough to dial it in when you have too big of a carb.
Depends what the rest of your exhaust is. IF you have a factory mid pipe, probably not but anything else than that and you'll have a good chance of getting some written compliments.
