well don't keep trying to start it with a soaked filter. GO to the store and get a new one, take apart the MAF housing and air inlet tube and make sure it's all dry. Leave the hood up for a while well it's warm and sunny out to help dry anything else out. Pull all of the plugs and check them...

I wouldn't expect insurance to cover it. They kight say you were driving too fast for the conditions or neglected to go around/slow down for a big puddle. Does it sound normal when cranking? If it does then I doubt you hdrolocked it, but you could have also caused a whole mess of electrical...

They are not any smaller then a fox 5.0 starter. Also, the numbers on rockauto do not match. Just get the right one for your car.
