it is supposed to stay on for 3-5 seconds then shut off.

I would start by checking the relay, might be sticking. If it checks out ok, you might be having problems with the computer.

congrats :awesomework:. I know the feeling. I installed a similar setup in my SN95 (14" rotors, but the calipers are made by Alcon) this year and braking was greatly improved and the visual impact is nice too :D
