while you at it, If there is an Autozone near you, take the ignition module to them to have it tested, though I am pretty sure your problem is the distributor (same problem happened to me, shutting off while driving down and coming back on on its own)

I am pretty sure the issue is the "pick up coil" in your distributor. You can take your distributor apart and replace it (though it is a bit of a pain to do so) or you can get a re manufactured distributor and call it a day
