Anyone done this or know anyone who has? I figure most people here don't drive their Mustangs in the winter or early spring/late fall, and I rarely have either, but it is still a nice option to have. I'm guessing the actual swap of the glass shouldn't be too hard, it'd be the wiring and switch...

I agree with the others, it sounds like a vacuum leak is the culprit. That being said, as someone who has owned 3 Foxes (2 SD, 1 MA), I would definitely recommend switching over to MA. You have the parts, why not? If I had an SD Fox at this point, I'd either make the MA conversion or just go...

Just found the site last evening. I've owned a few Mustangs over the years, and I'm currently in possession of a '91 LX, but I'm not sure if I'll be keeping it as a project, or selling it to help fund something else. Just popping in to say "Hi."
