i was pokin around and i dont know what i touched but i have no headlights,tail or brake lights,,but i do have parking lights and and blinkers that work very slow,,and the door chime i can barley hear now.any ideas?
yea the guages are unreliable in the 85 and 86,it will fluctuate with idle the amp guages are junk to,,,id say do your 02 sensors there 35 bucks a piece,get both and no more bucking,those computers rely on the o2 sensor,if it runs good when wide open throttle,your fuel system is fine,it will...
change your o2 sensors,i had the same problem,,,,also check driveshaft u joint,trans mount, crossmember mounts,pinion bearing,and fuel pressure,and vaccuum hoses,,,,r u still runnin the speed density or did u convert to mass air??
the 86 mustang is speed density efi ,yes,,dont know if u need one but i ran a carb set up for stock 85 motor and i still ahve the pump,its like a 5-9 psi pump,doesnt look the best but i know it works and u can have it,its an inline pump,i have no use for it,,as for short block rebuild like he...
so ur removingg efi and goin to a carb set up? ,if it has low oil pressur and ur looking to rebuild probly be in ur best interest to hot tank and rebuild.o maby just a new short block,.how do you know it has low oil pressure? did u see the motor run first?

ill be runnin straights from long tubes no mufs,,they use it because of pulse reverb and its supposed to draw air through ur engine better,im sure it works like anything else to a dagree,probly no diference if u can tune it to it
maby ur 02 sensors,i do alot of burnouts and i usually have to replace them often,its solved my buckin issue at cruise speeds and a low mph stalling,,just a suggestion if the distributor doesnt fix it
