Wider Stock Wheels?

Anyone know if their is a wheel that will match the stock chrome 17's i have now but wider?...Father decides to move the car so he can get out and rubs the curb with my pass side rims...THANKS DAD....so figured i could move my back driverside rim to the front and just buy wider rears so i can put a 315 drag radial on them..but i dont want two different looking rims and have it look stupid...really dont want to spend the money on 4 new rims...any idea's?

u could always fix ur scratched rims urself.....did the outside part get scratched or the actual spokes themselves?

I believe that 17x9 is the widest. You can pick up a new rim for 164.99 at American muscle. Or go to our sponser

Just the Outter lip of the rim on both my pass side rims...about 2 inches of pretty bad curb rubbed down

but they're not the 2000 cobras cuz mine are 17's and the lugs are flush not pushed in like those

kind of like that Ford Mustang wheel ALY3306B Polished Finish ...but it says only from 99-01' on it and i have an 03?

if u have the 17" bullits like i do, you can use a coarse sandpaper to smooth it out then a much finer one to get rid of the scratches and when done use some clear coat to paint over the damaged area but make sure to cover the area u do not want to get it on first. hope it helps.

well their not 03 cobra wheels they're just the step up chrome wheels when ordered from the factory instead of the bullits...helpful site but my rims are chrome? so idk how i would fix that

Chuckie B I love those rims. I have the exact same on my car. I've only seen them on 2003 GT's and were part of an upgrade. they are very close to the cobra rims but not exact and can not find them anywhere so I would have it fixed. What I'm trying to determine, is if they are 17x8 or 17x9? I would like to install 275/40 on the rear and leave the front with the 245/45. If they are 17x8, any one have thoughts about putting a 275/40 on that size rim. There are mixed feelings about doing that. I'm going to the tire shop next week and have that size installed on one rear rim and see if there's a noticeable differance. The only thing I don't like is the offset but I guess spacers can take care of that.

A 275/40 will fit but it does bulge. I run a 275BFG DR on my stock 17x8 wheels during track sessions.
