I know my h/c/i set up should not revolve around my cam and intake alone but im just looking for a cheap powerhouse as of what i have... I have a 1986 mustang lx with an e303 cam and a performance edelbrock intake... as of now it has stock heads (not sure why that wasn't first to go).. i obviously would like to put afr165's on it but i don't really have a grand and a half in my pocket for this lol so i am in turn looking at gt40 (around 200-300$). Im sure there are gt40p's gt40x's and gt40y's.. would the gt40p heads (heads from an explorer) fit my intake,cam and exhaust? thanks.

By the time you upgraded the springs in the gt40ps and cleaned them up and what not, you might be better off just saving your money and getting the afr 165s or the trickflow TW 170s... Trickflows are a little cheaper and are just as good, if not better than the afrs. It depends what headers you have if the gt40ps will fit them. Some shorties will fit them, but not sure about the long tubes. If you are looking to make the car quicker for a cheaper price than some good heads, how about getting some 3.73s put in?

you can get a set of edelbrock aluminums for 900 new
trickflows and afr-165's in the 1500 range

both would help, the latter would help more
