Evolution Performance, the folks who brought us the first 2007 Shelby GT500 in the 8's are at it again with an even bigger goal in mind for their new Twin-Turbo Super Shelby GT500 project car. This time around their goal is to have the first S197 Mustang in the 7's and why not given the setup they have created.
Their new Super Shelby GT500 is painted Grabber Blue with a 3 lane red stripe down the middle. The Shelby GT500 will use an all Aluminum motor with CNC machined heads, custom turbo cams, two Precision double ball bearing turbos and a host of custom parts. The chassis is 25.5 SFI certified and will run 32.0/16.0-15 Mickey Thompson ET drags in the rear for track use. For street duty the GT500 will use a set of 20x16 rear and 20x9 front wheels. No dyno numbers have been released yet but expect this setup to produce over 1000 horsepower.
The new Super Shelby GT500 will make it's official debut at the NMRA Bradenton, FL event on March 5-8. Dyno numbers and videos will be coming soon so check back later in the week for updates.
