Tune up and winterizing, opinions?

So it's about time for a little minor overhaul, probably plugs and wires. And winterizing w/a coolant flush, and prolly an oil change while im at it.
I know it's only a v6, but it's 10 years old and just hit 107k
so what plugs/wires would be a good purchase. I don't wanna go crazy overkill cuz I know im not going to see much, if any, performance increases.
I use motocraft synth.blend 5w20 oil, but a place in town has royal purple for a little bit more. worth it?
again, i know, it's only a v6...

royal purple I would only use if I was going to hit the track.
My ride is a DD so I don't beat on it..in other words not worth it.

Right, thanks. It was just on sale so i thought i might try it, maybe i'll pick some up for next season just in case i do get to hit the track.

New wire/plug suggestions?
MSD has the 8.5mm and a 9mm version
and I was thinkin Bosch Platinum 2 for plugs

I know it prolly doesn't make a difference just looking for suggestions/opinions
if anyone's had any experience or results with these

If your storing, spray the undercarrage and the motor with some WD-40, it helps with rust/corrosion over the winter.

Its my DD so I won't be storing it. Does the wd40 help cut down on salt dammage?

i would have it undercoated. and i would def look at buying a winter beater.

-stick with motorcraft oil/filters
-if you want, go with a set of livewires and a screamin deamon coil pack. pair that up with some NGK or standard motorcraft plugs and youll be golden.

have you done the fuel filter lately?

If i were you, i'd wait til the spring to change the oil. If it sits all winter, all of the metal shavings and crud will settle on the bottom and it will be a much better cleanse of your oil

Thanks to the awesome weather we had this weekend, I was able to get the coolant flushed, oil changed, K&N filter cleaned, New Bosch Platinum 2 plugs, and the gas pedal mod while I was at it. Can't say what had the most dramatic impact, but now when I step on it, she gets up and goes. No more hesitation. Plugs were pretty cruddy so im guessing that may have been the culprit.

Maybe in the spring I'll swap em. l was considering get a screaming demon and the live wires and swap em out then. These were on sale at walmart 8.88 for a 2 pack. Motocraft were $6 each. Not much of a price difference, but I thought they'd be worth trying.

Yeah, I gotta get some snow tires. not sure how the new t-lok/gears are gonna do in the snow. Not to mention since the t-lok/gears, the rears are a little bald. lol
