swapping axels

Is it a big ordeal to swap out the 4 lug axels to a 5 lug set up? I've got a 90 GT and I'm tired of the 4 lug thing. I know the front is a piece of cake but I've never pulled one of these rears apart.

Not a big deal. Just as easy as the front. Put up on jack stands, pull cover( don't forget a pan to catch oil)take lock bolt out of center pin(8mm head)pull pin out, push axle in but don't turn,grab c clip with mini needle nose or maganet. pull axle out. Now is the time to do the outer bearing and seal. just reverse and your done. Don;t forget the gear oil.

...You can use Ranger 9" drums if you don't convert to a rear disc set-up....Just order the Fox length axles OR if you're on a budget, 2 LEFT Ranger axles WILL work fine!!

Go with the '94-'95 front spindle swap.

Using the Lincoln rotors is ghetto and wont improve braking at all. I did the spindle swap and the braking is greatly improved over stock.

Ive got Ranger drums in the rear. I originally had Ranger axles but got them changed because supposedly the bearings dug up the axles but I think the shop doing the gears screwed me.

If you're not auto crossing your Fox, there's nothing wrong with putting on Lincoln/SVO front rotors IMO...also, if you want better braking, install the SVO 73mm calipers on the Fox set-up...

'94/95 Caliper set-up nice, but not totally needed....
