stupid antenna

the thing i hate most about the mustangs is the stupid bulky antenna on the fender. has anyone deleted their antenna?

it looks so out of place and stupid. doesn't flow with the car at all.

D00d, the antena is 36" wide, its a freagin circus, i dont know what Ford was thinking and putting it in the very front of the car no less.

I deleted my antena long ago, my radio doesnt work but i only listen to the exhuast anyway.

Do it!!! it makes a huge difference in the perception of the car.

dont listen to this guy he deleted the antenna to cut down wind resistance lol

either go with a shorter antenna or delete it i think a shorter one looks better

how did you delete it? take fender off and off to the body shop?

I picked up a 8 inch antenna from American Muscle.....for $20 its well worth it. It was the first "mod" I did to the car.

same here. No difference in reception............although I never listen to the radio, only the iPod through the aux input.

I deleted the antenna. I have pics of the process I think, basically cut a section of my old fender , got it down to bare metal and welded it in. Put a skim coat of filler on there primed and painted it. It makes a difference, I like it. I have pics of my car on my profile if you want to see what it looks like after the delete.

Nice job, that's looks slick! The guys at Ford design should be shot for putting the antenna where it is.

LOL, I know that was my only complaint about the car, they should have done the retro windshield antenna's. I had a run in with a deer then guardrail so when I had to get a new fender it was the first thing to go!
