tim .. .this is what i need to do
After completely drained (after disconnecting both large hoses on each side of the thermo housing) remove crossover tube plug and overflow tank cap.
2) With a funnel in place (in the crossover tube with a tight seal if possible) fill with your coolant mixture or water (pour in the crossover)until you see the overflow reservoir filling up.
3) When the overflow fills completely, place the cap back on. Keep filling until water is staying in the funnel (not going into crossover anymore). Leave about 2-3 inches of water in the funnel.
4) System is now full. Start car (with water still in the funnel) and turn heater on. Run engine for 5-10 minutes. You will see air bubbles coming through the water in the funnel. After you know the engine is up to temp (fans kicked on at least twice) watch the water in the funnel, if there are no more air bubbles coming to the surface, shut engine off, remove funnel and replace cap in crossover tube. System is good to go.
5) NOTES: If at any time you see the water in the funnel drain all at once, you had a large air bubble and you need to fill the funnel back to where it was after shutting engine off. Start burping (step 4) again. You must continue to do this until the car is running with no air bubbles surfacing in the funnel. NEVER pour water into the reservoir, it introduces numerous small air bubbles into the system. Small bubbles form larger ones."
i took this from another forum . .i really dont think i have to drain the entire system tho .. i dont want to . .coolant is expensive
