Short Throw Shifters..

Alright guys,

I'm in the market for a short throw shifter... Looking for some recommendations or see what people have out there...

The two I am looking at are the Hurst Shifters and the Steeda Tri-ax shifter...!

What do you guys think?

PS - I got the new hood in last night for the car, it's getting painted :D:D

I'm an old school fan of the Hurst...but, I've heard nothing but positive with the Steeda...I'd go with the best $$$$ to your door!

MGW or Pro 5.0

best two out there. I have an MGW its terrific, I've driving Pro 5.0s and they are very good as well. the pro 5.0 seemed to be a bit lighter in throws, the MGW is more adjustable.

MGW FTW!!! by far superior and over engineered, i wrote an extremely long review of it after having it a few weeks, it will let you almost EVERYTHING you want to know about it. WickedExtreme posted it in our reviews section.

Its very adjustable, ive tweaked it several time since i got it and now have it at a position that is perfect for me but wont be for you, that the beauty of it. It can be silky smooth or notchy, short or tall but it will always be quiet.

Sweet!! Great info guys!! We need a sticky on short throw shifters!! :D

I'm definitely going to check out the review that you posted RedMosesSC on the MGW- I liked the Hurst because it was a little bit taller but at the same time I think the MGW can be adjusted.

I have heard a lot of good things about the Steeda Tri Ax like the bump stops for gears and such that can be adjusted.

I'm going to read the review! :rock:

BTW - Our 3650 trans has internal stops.

Stay away from Hurst, nothing but rattles. Hurst makes the "MGW" ball knobs, they look very similair.

^^Sweet review! LOL you just sold me on it. I like the fact that everything is basically adjustable for your own taste..!

I'm getting that one!

Kyle, I'm propbably too late, but I love my Billet Hurst. The car should come with it stock. I never tried any other brands and it may not be at the top of everyone's list, but you can't beat the classic look of the Hurst Shifter.

I completely agree... I love the looks of a Hurst Shifter- It brings back the classic look in the cars!

Looks like I have some decisions to make- it seems like everybody has a different one and everybody loves theirs... lol :mad:

How about I take each Mustang for a test drive that has a different shifter- LOL :awesomework::awesomework::D
