The only short throw I have ever used is a Hurst, it was in my car when I bought it. I haven't used any others to tell how good this one is, lol. It's fine for me, it is an older Hurst short throw, can't find the same one I have anywhere.
I have shifted - Pro 5.0, Steeda, Hurst Comp, Hurst Comp Plus, B&M Ripper and maybe some others. They are all a huge improvement. I just like the beefy solid feel of the Pro 5.0 . I like the Steeda handle better though. My friend had the Hurst Competition Plus and it shifted good. I ran consistent 11's with his car and never a misses shift.
I got an awesome deal on a B&M Ripper, paid under 100 bucks for it new. Major improvement over stock. Ive been trading between the stock shifter knob and a hurst t handle. I like the T but man its either freezing cold or sweltering hot!
