This 2013 Ford Mustang on display in the Energy Suspension booth at SEMA immediately caught our eye. After all, it’s not every day you see a brown Mustang. Owner Joey Redmond tells us the color is actually a Gold Bronze from BASF, also available as an option on the 2013 Ford F-250. Combined with the RTR body kit, graphics and 19-inch wheels, it’s one of the coolest looking 2013 Mustangs we’ve ever seen.
In addition to the exterior changes Redmond has done some significant upgrades to his Mustang RTR (serial #007 for 2013) as well. A Paxton supercharger system is under the hood (the first in a 2013 Mustang), and the standard MT-82 6-speed transmission has been swapped out for a Tremec T-56 Magnum unit fitted with an ACT clutch and flywheel. The car also features a Steeda suspension system, plenty of Energy Suspension bushings and a custom interior with double-stitched seats and door panels.
Redmond tell us that he’s previously only owned Hondas and Nissans, but he’s officially converted to American Muscle. “It’s my first American car and I’m loving every minute of it,” he tells us.
