SCT two step rev limiter

I am just wondering if anybody has used their x-calibrators to use the 2 step function and what you thought of it. I am thinking of trying it when I go to the track this year, I just wanted to hear from those with first hand experience. Thanks.

I didn't even know the SCT had that function. Do you have the x-cal 2 or 3. Im looking to get one but have to save some $$ first.

It isn't a "true" two step. Well, kind of.... There is your normal rev limiter and an idle rev limiter. (I have the x-cal 2) When you have a tune made, the tuner can leave tons of optional parameters unlocked, one of which being neutral rev limiter. My tuner is great and will unlock them. I just got a new set of wheel and tires and sense he left the revs per mile unlocked, I was able to adjust for it, instead of having to pay to have it "retuned". I am going to be going to the track this coming weekend. I will be giving it a shot.

I don't know which I would recommend (between the x-cal 2 or 3) as I have never used the 3. I am sure it must be a better version of the 2, but I can't say much bad about the 2. Since there is no local tuner near me, my car was tuned via datalogging and email through the xcal2. Once you figure it out you are as good as gold. Works great.
