With the unveiling of the 2013 Mustang back in November it was only a matter of time before aftermarket companies started coming out with updated versions as well. Steeda previewed their lineup last month highlighted by the Q600 StreetFighter, and now it looks like Roush is just about ready to release their 2013 Mustang lineup as well. Today the company posted a single photo showing the tail end of Roush Stage 3 Mustang, distinctly a 2013 model judging by the glossy black rear panel and the new taillight design. It was only a few months ago that Roush was producing the 2012 Stage 3 Premier Edition Mustangs, but now they have apparently moved on to the new model year.
So what can we expect from Roush and the 2013 Mustang? While the company is keeping quiet about details, we expect not too much to change from 2012. Yes, the car will get a new look that is based around the design changes done to the 2013 Mustang, but performance items like the supercharger system and suspension components will likely remain mostly the same. With the 2013 Shelby GT500 producing 650 horsepower, though, we wouldn’t be surprised if Roush upped the boost for a high-horsepower special edition model later on down the road.
