I only have a BBK Cold Air Intake and a 130 amp Alternator. I know i was looking at the most expensive parts first. I was told the heads were most expensive. Im going to get a cam right after i get heads and throw them in all at the same time. Any other stuff i should replace to better the performance of the cam?
Well to do it right, here's a list of things you will need. 75mm maf or bigger cal'd for 24lb injectors, 24lb injectors, 65-70mm throttle body, intake manifold, heads, cam, roller rockers (1.6 or 1.7), hardened push rods, head studs, bigger fuel pump (I would go right up to a 255 lph, prices are about the same for them all, go big).
I would get a new clutch also for the increased power, not sure how long the stock one would last at that power level and how you drive it. New clutch cable, firewall adjuster, and clutch quadrant, MM makes a great clutch cable kit. Full length subframe connectors should be considered too, they will really strengthen the frame. Gears would be nice.
All summed up, quite a few things are needed to do a new h/c/i. Lots of parts have to be upgraded for the increase in power.
