What causes this to happen? I was thinking mine were one of a kind, lol. I thought someone had tried to clean them with something and it messed up the rubber. I thought about sanding them down when we paint the car. I will proabably try that.
Thay all pit like that. Mine too. I'm going to refinish mine but they do sell covers that you glue on. You can't just replace the rubber molding though.
I also thought about sanding mine down and buying the trim to put on it afterwards. Buying a pair of windows that don't have mustang written on them for $350, is not really what I want to do, or anyone else wants to do, lol.

Because I wouldn't want the trim to look like it was just stuck on top of the old. If you sand a bit of it off, and then put the trim on, it would look better.
