Noisy Timing Gears

Any one ever run them on there EFI 5.0? Have heard of them causing problems on other makes of cars. It seams that the knock sensors pick up the harmonics from them and cause all kinds of strange running issues.

Dog bone style timing gears are sometimes worse than running a timing chain. If you decide to go with gears I strongly suggest the Moroso gear drive, which will require slight machine work.
And yes, on a real noisy gear the knock sensor will pick up the noise and retard the timing thinking you have rotating assembly noise.
