I guess not because the FRPP/Whipple kit rated at 624hp (flywheel) are running 9lbs. I think due to the more advanced Copperhead engine control, variable timing, and piston cooling from the oil squirters it may be enough to take the boost. On an older less efficient engine I don't think this would be possible. But look at all the Jap and Euro cars that are boosted, alot have high compression as well.
