Hi, i'm new [obviously]; just looking for some starter ideas. I have a 1990 LX 2.3L 5 speed (slow yet fun) that i bought about a month ago. (I drove from Fabius NY down to middle of New Jersey just to get it). I have a video of it up on youtube now. . I just got a ticket for driving it down the road unregistered so i was a little upset and got my anger out by revving it up some. Currently the car is in bad condition. The kid before me ripped it all to shreds planning to turn it into an SVO drift car. radio/speakers are gone, electrical mirrors wires are cut, door panels are falling off, door hinges/bushings are sagging, all the locks have been indented with a screw driver, drivers front fender has been painted flat black due to being in a minor accident, hood doesn't latch down right [probably just needs an adjustment] tires are completely shot, and just a few other small things like brakes/drums and such. Engine and Transmission are actually in nice shape. My older brother has an 89 LX 5.0 that i kind of looked up to which is half the reason i bought mine. He's swapping a 351 into his and i was going to take his 302 and rebuild it and slap a turbo on it, but now after realizing how bad i am with the whole redoing a wiring harness idea i think im going to just twin turbo a little four banger. Going to end up painting it silver with a black 2-4' cowl and black rims... Any idea of what i should be looking to buy engine wise/turbo wise just let me know! thank you, i'm looking forward to meeting new friends with the same passion as I.
New. Plenty of ideas though.

Oh yeah lol, sadly don't have nearly enough knowledge or money to get done what i want. Guess i just have to keep working towards a complete restoration pretty much. Would love to black out the lights/windows/rims like yours 
Holy long screen name batman!! J/K. Welcome to nym!! It doesn't always need 8 cylinders to be quick! IMO, I would just get it looking half way decent and get it running well. Such as getting the radio and speakers, putting new door pins in, new door panels, things like that. I had to do some things like that before worrying about anything else. I had to put new door pins in the driver's side, replace the heater core, new window motor, and a few other odds and ends. It's much better to have the car functioning properly before making it go fast first. Just my two pennies.

. doing brakes/rotors, buying my brothers old pony rims+tires (same as mine but bigger and more tread). re-doing a few gaskets, new thermostat, draining all the fluids and such, replacing a few lines. After i pay off some of my owed money i'll work on interior and buy some new panels (interior and exterior). Guessing i'll leave the panels the same color as they are until i remove the engine and just end up painting them then.
