Hi all. New member here. My name is Joe and I'm in Rotterdam NY. Last july a bought a red 93 LX hatch as project for brother and I to work on together. Our plans are for the strip but we plan to keep it as close to street legal as we can. It was originally a 4cly 5spd, we are going auto. The previous owner started the V8 conversion but didn't finish. The car came with a carbed 302 in place, but not wired or complete. Since we have gotten the car, We sandblasted and coated the undercarage with por15. Interior has been completly stripped, and we spent hours heating and scrapping all that extra shit form the floorboards. The 302 has been pulled and the bay has been blasted and painted flat black. The original 7.5" rearend has been pulled and I picked up and 8.8 out of a MKVII, car currently sits without a rearend underneath it. Front Suspension has been completed. We have installed a QA1 K-member, flaming river manual rack, Lakewood 90/10's, front Eibach drag springs, sn95 control arms with poly bushings and steeda bj's, C/C plates, GT spindals and all new brakes. Thats pretty much how it sits now. I have a pile of parts for the rear, I need to pick up a set of LCA's, which is the only thing holding me up from getting it back together. I have also picked up a 351w(non-roller) out of a 92 truck. Haven't really planned out the motor yet, but it will be carbed, and I have a nice set of D0OE heads that were donated that I plan to use. Other than that, it's been a slow but steady project. I don't think we will have it at the strip this coming season, but we will see. Anyway, I am a member of corral, stangnet, and smallblockposse under the same name. I will not be post a whore, and most of the time you will find me trolling the classified forms. Below are the only pics I have of it for now. They were taken the day i brought the car home. So, thats about it. Nice to meet all of you
