New JLT Pics inside

I picked up a used JLT CAI last week. Only 2 problems is that:

1) it's grabber orange.
2) did not come with the filter support.

Questions are:

1) anyone want to trade for a black one? (I will paint mine if not)
2) Can someone give me the size so I can fab a new support?

Thanks guys, I have my K&N on the car now, but removing it shortly (half day at work)

Just lucky sometimes. Update, I sanded painted and cleared in in about 45 min.

It is just a piece of 4" pvc, I could have made one. It is installed, I just downloaded
my new tune for it, going to go do that now. Will post my results.

did you paint it black or color matched to the car?

Thanks man, I never got a chance to look for the support. I just made one.
I painted it gloss black for now. I added my tune and man the car ran like crap.
Spittered stalling, pinging. I loaded my stock tune, then tried again, Much better
this time around. Didn't notice a difference much if at all from my K&N setup.
Maybe I need a better tuner, I have the superchips flashpaq, might have to get a
sct or diablo.

Tomorrow night when I get home from work I will throw some up. I need to take it off again, and have it professionaly painted my body color.

definitely get and sctx3. check out doug at bamachips.com. you will not be sorry. and you are better off leaving it off until you have the tuner. if not it will start throwing codes as well

It's running fine now, just doesn't feel awake. The second time I loaded the tune it
ran much better, but still no real improvement over the K&N. Gonna have to get an sct.

he will custom tune it to your mods. i have the 93 octane tunes and its a real big difference. one of the best bangs for the buck youll ever get

Heat shield, I have to fab one or buy a one, it didn't come with one. Irish found the lnk for me.
