car is off the road right now- the inspection expired and im trying to figure out a way around it. funny thing is, i am a ford tech and a have a state inspection license. the car is supposed to be OBD2 and now it is OBD1. i may have to look into trying to get it registered as a home built car, but i dont know if i can since its not really a home built car. its a modified 2001 model year car. anyone work for the dmv here?

no, ny state requires an obd2 inspection on anything newer than 1995
