New 2010 Mustang owner here from L.I.

And I'm not a car guy in the least, yet here I am with a new 2010 Mustang. I'm here to learn, to be informed, to discover some things about this pretty kick ass car I now own.

Right now I have two priorities as far as the new car goes: I want to install rear bumper sensors (something I've had on previous cars) and a new stereo. Looking for opinions on the bumper sensors. Thoughts? Opinions? I'm concerned that Best Buy won't have the install kit though.

As for the radio, I am not familiar with the 2010's, but it looks to me that you will need a whole fascia or some cutting might be involved. Once I get my hand into one I will know better.

That's not a bad radio, but XM and JVC have never really worked very well together, just my experiences.

Welcome, glad to see you picked the mustang side!! :D I have a jvc with the hd radio tuner and it works good, the hd radio makes it sound like your listening to a cd.

Why pay someone to so it, they are very easy to do. Besides, I wouldn't want anyone besides me drill into my bumper.

Well, as I said in my intro I'm not a car guy, no experience whatsoever so that's why I was asking if anyone could recommend a place around here that's trustworthy. Maybe a place they themselves have used in the past.

I'm not much for bringing a car to a dealership but "if" you have a good one you might want to see if Ford can do the work so they're responsible ;)

Hey welcome...as for the stereo...google Crutchfield.....back in the day, I had a Crutchfield catalogue...you call them up...tell them what stereo and speakers you like and they let you know if they will "fit"...and will provide the accessiories and whatnot for fitting the receiver into your dash.

Also, it's not hard AT ALL to install a stereo and speakers..pick up a sottering gun/kit....maybe google how to sotter...it is pretty easy....and do it yourself

Back in the day I had a 1994 Chrysler LeBaron ..installed a Blaupunkt receiver....with Sony Explodes speakers....through Crutchfield...first time I ever did a stereo install...and it went really smooth

Just my 2 cents

Same here. My brother used to call me "mr. Wire for fire" :D. Look wear it got the two of us, in the best union in the world (when there is work).
