I ahve around $1500 worth of stuff to return to Summit. I want to get parts for the new Cobra but i dont know what else to get!

1. Eibach Springs Pro Kit
2. Does Summit sell the Speed of sound gauges??
3. Does Summit Sell the Stencil's for painting the intercooler?
4.Does Summit sell the same wheel / tire packages as AM (10.5 wheels??)
5. Radiator Tank Overflow
6. Shorty Antenna
7. FUll length Subframes w/ jacking rails


What else can I get?? I was thinking about some type of IRS brace!

I want to get this done and overwith.... :awesomework:

1- yes
2-4: they dont carry them
5 and 7 they carry


you could get the springs, subframe connectors, overflow tank, steeda IRS brace from summit. the rest would have to come from AM or another site.



edit: Rob,y uor cobra is pretty low miles, i doubt the ushings are bad. Ive heard enough horror stories of changing to poly bishings with cobra IRS that, IMO, its not worth the hassel if you arent road racing it or they arent worn out.

do you have to get everything from summit? can you return and use money at lethal or somewhere else?

yes on the shorty antenna and get black not chrome imo. brace would be good mine's a steeda, billetflow is popular too. subframe connectors i heard Maximum Motorsports are the best (i dont have these yet). gauges cant help you there i never wanted them becuase i like the stock look and dont like the pillar gauges (too much gauges imo). you need a shift light man, get a raptor. tires i dont know do you have drag radials already?

what about new ring and pinion? i have 3.73 and she feels good with that.

Rob, if you go with SFC's, GET FULL LENGTH! full length from steeda, or Maximum motorsports XL's. makes the car feel much stiffer

^^^NO. From what I've seen, do NOT get shorties on a Cobra! As a matter of fact, many people do not get LTs until they go with higher#s on the cobra, most probably with a KN or whipple. Honestly, shorties are not worth it, and that money that you COULD have used for it, can go some where else. I'm not sure about the Steeda SFCs(though I'm sure they are fine) but the MM XL SFCs are great. I can speak from experience(I have them) and majority of the cobra owners I know, and from SVT have them and love them. As a matter of fact, most of them only use MM stuff anyway.

IRS Brace is a good idea, though I hear that is only good if you are going to do serious drag racing.

Edit: Rob, what does your car put down to the wheels?

SSChris is very knowledgable with Termis. I'm sure once he sees this thread, he'll chime in.

I would definitely do SFCs. If you are getting everything from Summit, get the Steedas. I'm sure they are fine.

Actually, while we anxiously wait with someone with more experience (like Chris to chime in) I'm looking up some good threads over at the Snake. I'll post em, or send them to ya via PM.

On another note, I'm not a pride seeking man, and am very happy for people's accomplishments, but Rob, I am a bit envious that you got a Cobra! Guy I know who guys by "VENOMOUS03COBRA" on the boards, (Chris knows him too lol) is such an excellent driver, that with just 4 mods: cai, pulley(2.93), catback, and a tune, he ran a 11.52 @ 122.54 on BFG DRs! He dynoed at 452rwhp, and 466rwtq.

He ran a buddies cobra with the same combo, except with a 2.8 pulley and nittos, and ran a best of 11.44 @ 122.95, and this cobra dynoed at 466rwhp and 480rwtq. :drool:

I can't wait to get a termi......vert!

btw, will you be taking the car to the track at all?

Oh yea, from my understanding, the Billetflow MJ IRS brace is really good...didn't hear good things about the Steeda. Though, from what I have observed, if you are not going to the track, then the IRS Brace is overkill. The Brace is really to protect against 4-5k clutch dumps on DRs/Slicks at the track. Also, if and when you want to change the bushings, the MM front and rear diff. bushings are a nice addition.

I will be taking it a few times a year. Its NOT going to be a track queen but i want it to be a runner when i do bring it!
