Looking into an o/r mid pipe..suggestions?

Leaning towards an o/r H pipe to go with my flowmaster Cat back....but open to idea's on an X..ne suggestions on what sounds good with 40 series flowmasters?. ik alot of people are going 2 say its personal opinion and listen 2 youtube video's tho

From what I understand, and I am still pretty new at this, the "X" pipe gives you a more harsh raspy sound wile the "H" pipe gives you a smoother mellow sound. There are probabaly some performance differences in them as well but I havn't read that far yet. Any of the good quality exhaust makes will probababaly give you the same results regardless of who you go with so I really do think it is more a personal preference. You should listen to some vidoes on Youtube, lol.

If you're going with flowmasters, there's no question that you must get an H pipe for it. With an x pipe it will sound raspy unless you have longtubes.

yah that H is more of a deep old school muscle sound...as X is more of a raspy "nascar" sound...i'm like 100% on the o/r H but i'm always open 2 idea's... The X is a better flowing pipe but i'dont like the raspyness on the downshift of the X

I think catted x pipes avoid the raspiness somewhat. I hear(saw) a vid on youtube with a Magnaflow catted X and Flows and it actually sounded pretty damn good. I'm pretty sure thats the setup I'm going to go for.

I have o/r x pipes w super 44s n absolutely LOVE it. Low rpms its relatively quite but when I step on it.. Its sounds amazing.. Also a plus w x pipes is u avoid drone. I can set my cruise control and have no drone at all.. Which is nice when doing a long drive..
