Have a few questions on the next part of my build. I have the engine down to a long block. (Heads on block) I need to get the old camshaft out, new camshaft in, swap out the valve springs, and i also have a shim kit for the rockers. Ive never done any of this. Ive got everything TDC, then removed the timing chain and sprockets and here i sit. Is it possible to change out the springs and seals with the heads on the vehicle? I bought a trick flow kit that has new springs and seals for GT-40 heads. I know once i loosten all the rockers, push-rods, lifters and remove the backing plate the cam will slide out, but do i have to do this in any certain fashion? I also need to get a pushrod length checker too. Im also not sure about how to go around shimming the valves? Thanks!
