Can't help with header install, but someone will give you some pointers. As for penetrating oil, I use PB blaster or Zep 45. WD-40 I found is better for squeeks and such, you need a good penetrating oil.
Yeah try PB blaster. I did my Headers about a month ago and all my bolts came out real easy but my car has only 6k miles on it and its never been drove in the snow so there is no rust. I did my drivers side first and I took off the steering linkage which made it a lot easier. I also replaced my motor mounts at the same time which gave me some more room. On the passenger side take the starter off. On tip when it comes time to removing/putting the starter back on pull off your front tire it will make things a lot easier for you. Also did you get 2 or 4 O2 extensions? Mine came with 2 and I had to splice the other 2 which was not bad just took a little longer.
i just got bp blaster, my car has like 5500 miles on it never been in rain or snow either, i think i have 2 i got the mac headers LT's and i got the new gaskets
My guess is you will have No problems getting the bolts out. I didn't even use any lube. I have JBA and there fit was great. It took me like 8-9hrs between 2 days to get the headers done.
I did not take my starter off... Saves alot of time when you dont... Just remove the engine mount...
This is what you do...
Jack your car up take your rims off for more working room...
Remove your battery tray and battery...
Then start on your drivers side get all the top header bolts out and all that you can underneath..
Now get a phone book and a jack place the phone book between the jack and your oil pan to disperse weight evenly...
Loosen drivers side engine mount and completely take off while jackin car up..
Now the engine should be tilted because your passenger side engine mount is still on..
Header bottom bolts will be easier to get too..
disconnect steering and slide out old rusty and then shimmy in new shiny header...
Bolt up then once everything is tightend lower motor reapply engine mount....
Now I didnt remove my started but removed my engine mount and tilted my motor again... Much easier because the top starter bolt is hidden....
