Front wheel bearing....

Ok guys i have to replace the passenger front wheel bearing but wondering how hard is it to replace? Can i do it myself or take it to my friend who owns a garage? Thanks guys.

Your bearing is part of the hub. Take off the front brakes completely, remove the dust cover in the center of the hub, remove the nut ( I belive it's a 36mm) and slide the hub off. Put it back together the way it came off but do not tighten the nut too hard. You can get a hub at most parts stores.

Ive done my friends- hardest part was finding a socket big enough.

Fords service manual says to tighten the 36mm nut to 238lb/ft. Does that sound correct?

ya my drivers side needs to be changed too... when changing wheel bearing should you do both sides? sorry for the :thread jacked:
