Front Speakers cut out and pop

Just some info on stereo noises, I had a blown front 6x8, so I replace it with 4ways(which u only get bass) then I started getting popping once in a while and the speakers cut out. Finally I found one of the new speakers was the cause, I got new of the same ones AGAIN, and it worked.

4 way speakers are not just for bass, they cover the sound spectrum, Highs, mids, lows and bass. Do not confuse lows with bass.

What you are hearing is called clipping. it is when the impedance (ohms) are wrong and the power is getting chopped up to much (clipping).

On those speakers (I don't know what brand or style) there should be a built in crossover to regulate each speaker and also a way to select the ohms.

your partially right... clipping is when you are sending a "dirty" signal to the speakers them selfs.. that could be caused by a horrible song or you could have tuned an amp wrong..

ALSO make sure your ground is very clean and on bare metal (prefferably on the frame) or you will get a ground loop issue causing you to hear an engine whine everytime you step on the gas...
