Finally Fixing the Mach 1...!!!

OK.....I got the whole K-Member bolted up, the tranny is bolted in place, and all the front suspension is back together. I welded up some spacers for between the k-member and frame , in order to drop the engine lower into the chassis for proper clearance on everything. It all worked out PERFECT!!! I have all the wiring in place ready to be hooked up, and I installed the Cobra oil cooler and all the front accesory items. Here is only a few pics. its all an 8 rib set up now. Tomorrow will be the intake, turbo's, cooling system, oil lines and fuel lines. Mabey one day after that to make sure it is all good and I can hear it run.
I didn't get everything done that I wanted to today. Yesterday went so smoothe, and everything fought me today. I won't get into details, but I had to modify pretty much everything I touched today, so it would assemble correctly. I have a list of different brackets that I have to weld up tomorrow also. All that is left though is to make the Turbo downpipes, and connect all the coolant, oil, and intake hoses. The Fuel system still need some attention, but that should go easy. So here are a few pics for the day.
No, I am going under the K-member or under the manifolds to the
stock shorty position.....I will see today as I go. I have no room
through the control arms, I don't use coil overs. I hate them.
I am very big into comfort and stock ride quality or better.
Unfortunately, the air filter you see is the biggest that fits.
Remember, it's a twin turbo 5.4 in a 79 Fox. I get excited when
I have more than 1/4 inch of clearance anywhere.....But I will see
what I can do down the road.

Worked on the cold side and got most of it mocked up. The water to air cooler gave us some trouble but we figured it out.
The fuel system gave is 90% done, just have to mount the tank and make some connections.
The wastegates are mocked up and one side is all set to be installed. Hot side is 90% done, just needs some bungs welded in and hung.
No visual pics of progress cause today was spent on mocking up and getting everything ready for install.
I am excited to fire this bitch up, a few odds and ends and boom, ready to go.

They are some strange hoses I came across on ebay to help with
wastegate installation. I figured I would try them since they flex.
I don't know if they will hold up....we will find out though.
It's not too hard to change them over to a solid stainless tube after the
fact if need be though. Still a slight work in progress.

Ok....Updates...There are no real major visual updates. I am currently working on all the tedious little things that are taking forever to figure out, then fabricate, then install. As of now, I have left, the cooling system hoses, fuel tank, misc. wire connections, and I had to order a couple cold side hoses. So yes, I will have video of it running soon. Today I finished 100% the exhaust, intercooler water lines, turbo oil lines, and the vacuum hoses. Here are a few stupid pictures of exhaust stuff at least though......VIDEO COMING SOON !!!!!!!!!!

There are a couple small issues....I need to adjust the fuel pressure, I have a very small coolant leak from my crossover tube.....I had to shorten and weld it, and it just needs an additional tack, and I need to repair a brake line that I cut into. Ther are gonna be a few other things that need attention.......but nothing special or worth mentioning. I will have it 100% in driving condition in another day or so. I have a Video that I am posting.....The noise in it that I thought was an idler pulley turns out it was just the power steering system needing to be bled. The noise went away as soon as I started bleeding that system. It idles perfectly smooth.....no issues.....I can't rev it until I sort out the fuel pressure and adjust the tune slightly.......well......here it is !!!!!!
