e-brake freeze

any1 else have problems with the e-brake to an 05 mustang sticking when it gets cold outside?? it never fails, whenever it gets really cold outside my e-brake wont release, when i engage and disengage it you can feel that there is no resistance, if i drive da car like that and let da brakes warm up it finally releases, just wanna know if any1 has had that problem

^^Happened to me the other night when I had my car out for Catt's B-Day party... Took about 15 minutes for it too free up by driving it..

i rarely drive my car in da winter but that has happened every time i drive it in da cold since i bought it

Ive heard of this before on another site.....once the car warms up everything goes back to normal. I wonder why they never did a recall on it.

That's happened to me at least 10 times. It unsticks after it warms up. I just leave it in gear now when I know it's gonna be cold out.

It is common, mine does it also. There is a tsb for it, the cable boot is not sealed and the moisture freezes and keeps the brake on. I had mine "fixed" but it still does it. I am bringing my car in this week for a few other gremlins to be fixed, and that is one of them.
