Dynacorn Classic Bodies currently offers complete body shells for both the 1967 and the 1969-1970 Ford Mustangs, providing a platform for custom vehicle projects like Vaughn Gittin Jr’s Mustang RTR-X and the Agent 47 Harbinger Mustang. Last year it looked like they would be offering a body shell for the 1965-966 Mustang after they displayed a prototype body shell in their booth at SEMA last year, but the body had yet to be licensed by Ford and Dynacorn wouldn’t offer additional details on when that might happen.
It looks like we’ll have our answer in just a few weeks, as a new video from Ford hints that a licensed 1965-1966 body shell will make its debut at SEMA in Las Vegas next month. Ford is coy about exactly what is being shown in the video, although it clearly shows a classic Mustang body. “We are looking at a product that’s going to be introduced in the next couple weeks at the SEMA show in Las Vegas,” says Ford Restoration and Licensing Manager Dennis Mondrach in the video. “We think it’s very special, very exciting. We think the public is going to enjoy it just as much.”
