Cyl. head advice

Hi... I've been out of the 5.0 scene for a few years & finally getting around to enjoy it again. Looking for some cyl. head options for a '90 5.0 LX coupe.
Currently running an E303 cam, GT40 intake, 70mm mass-air, shorty headers, BBK X-pipe cat, Flow master mufflers, etc.
Looking for streetability heads, nothing too wild, but a nice combo. In the past I've looked @ Trick Flow, AFR & Edelbrock and trying to decide what's the best valve size, cc, etc.
Any info, or points in the right direction is appreciated.

TFS TW 170s! In my opinion they offer the best bang for your buck and are one of the best heads right now, if not the best. AFR also makes good cylinder heads. Those are the two I would choose from. Only problem with TFS is, their new heads are on back order, every time I go to summit racing and look up the heads, it says they are at least a month behind! I have no idea why they are behind, it seems like ever since they rolled out the new heads they can't keep up with the orders or something.

That's what I'm leaning towards. Only concern is I've heard there's some issues w/ piston contact???? I'm assuming running a E303 cam I should be fine.

TFS is one of the only ones who can make the 170s with the bigger valves and have no issues with clearance because they rotated the valves to be more centered over the piston.

You should be fine, but I would check the piston to valve clearance just to be absolutely sure.

I have the Edelbrock's, they are pretty good out of the box.

They would be fine with an E303, actually you can run even larger with no issues. I have TFS on my 331 and Edelbrock on my 5.0 in my car now. Both work great. Even the GT40X work fine, I installed those on a friends car before.

I'm going to be selling my 331 soon, it has ported/polished TFS heads, TFS cam, 8.5:1 pistons, forged rods, etc. The heads were $1800 and I will be selling the whole long block for a great price.

Same guy but those are heads off a 94 GT he parted. He had the same ones on a black 94 GT he had and I installed a Steeda #19 cam in it with Cobra intake. He never ran it at the track I would guess it would run 12's. My other friend ran 12.52@111 with the heads I have on my car, Edelbrock intake, and E303 all in a 94 GT. No tuning or anything either. I would say the GT40x and Edelbrock are close performance wise, maybe the Edelbrock edging them out a little. I have the original Edelbrock though and they revised them later on changing the chamber design.
